Main changes are: - Uses correct path to the font when a font is used. With standalone, also copies the font to under the destination directory. - Canonical sequences are used in text rendered by a font. Chrome handles these better (though still not perfectly). - The description column now is renamed 'Sequence' and shows the (canonical) codepoint sequence for all emoji. It also continues to show the component images for sequences. - The name column now always shows the sequence name using the unicode data. Single character emoji that are not default emoji presentation now have the names prefixed by '(emoji)'. Names for the unknown flag PUA char and for the combining enclosing keycaps char (not technically an emoji but an emoji component) are special-cased, they are not in the emoji sequence name data built by unicode_data. |

Noto Emoji
Color and Black-and-White Noto emoji fonts, and tools for working with them.
The color version must be built from source.
Building NotoColorEmoji
Building NotoColorEmoji requires a few files from nototools. Clone a copy from https://github.com/googlei18n/nototools and either put it in your PYTHONPATH or use 'python setup.py develop' ('install' currently won't fully install all the data used by nototools). You will also need fontTools, get it from https://github.com/behdad/fonttools.git.
Then run make. NotoColorEmoji is the default target. It's suggested to use -j, especially if you are using zopflipng for compression. Intermediate products (compressed image files, for example) will be put into a build subdirectory; the font will be at the top level.
License
Emoji fonts (under the fonts subdirectory) are under the
SIL Open Font License, version 1.1.
Tools and most image resources are under the Apache license, version 2.0.
Flag images under third_party/region-flags are in the public domain or
otherwise exempt from copyright (more info).
